It's been a couple of weeks since consuming this fine brew, and I didn't take notes, yet it made such a clear impression on me that I think I can do this from memory. Poured from the nitro can with a nice amber/bronze hue and more than abudant white nitro foamy head. I dont' recall much about the nose. The flavor was a nice malty balance - a typical English ale but better. Mouthfeel is very smooth and nice. Give this one a try.

Bottle. Colour - a clear golden copper pour with a very thin white ring for a head, and a head that doesn't stick around at that. Aroma - nutty malt, some caramel, some weak citrusy hops. Mouthfeel - thin and watery, over carbonated. Flavour - light notes of toasted malt, notes of caramel, bitter finish. Not something to be returned to.

Clear copper yellow with off-white foam head lacing to glass. Aroma is malty. Taste has some smokey tone, did not accept this. Aftertaste is nice and long lasting. (Velp 201307)

Pours a clear reddish brown...its not bad but I think it would be way better if I were sitting in a country pub with me wellies on, pissing down outside playing dominoes with me mates on a Saturday afternoon.More suited to cask than can.

I tried this in the Plough in London. Hand pulled it poured a reddish amber with a moderate head. There was a malty aroma and a clean fresh malty taste with a grassy finish from the hops.Overall quite a nice offering that I would try again

It pours burnt-orange/amber with thick off-white head and thick lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, light hops, citrus blend, raisin and dates, and a solid blend of spices. The mouthfeel is too thin. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, citrus, bitters, light raisin, and spiciness. Good!

I liked this beer, however, I am especially partial to English pub ales. this beer was creamy and generally very smooth. This beer was english hopped and tasted of almonds, malt and hops.

I like this Englsh offering. It pleasent in aroma and taste, but somehow is very thick in consistancy..which is not a criticism. It is smooth and very personable.

Not a bad beer considering it came from a can. Pours a deep copper color with a short lived head. Flavor is nutty and malty. Mouthfeel is thick for the style. Slightly bitter finish.

Can. Poured a clear mahogany colored ale with a small beige foamy head that had a soft carbonation. Strong aroma of hops, ripe fruits. The flavour is caramel malts, fruity, hazelnut, ripe raisins, notes of honey. The superb balance malt/bitterness is remarkable. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. This medium bodied ale has a lingering bitterness aftertaste. Very nice.

Pours a nice copper color with a small off white head. Weak aroma of hops and a bitter hoppy flavour but it tastes very watery and thin. I just can't give this beer a good rating because it feels so bad in my mouth. Very watery and thin.
