A Black rye IPA made with two types of local rye malt and a judicious amount of hops from the Pacific Northwest. This style is visually deceptive, as its black color hints as roast, chocolate and coffee flavors, all of which are only background notes. The hops are the showcase in this beer and dominate the flavor and aroma with notes of grapefruit zest, pine, resin, strawberry & a touch of bubblegum. Well-attenuated, this beer finishes dry with a lingering minerality, which increases its drinkability

Taps opaque dark chocolate with a good buff head. Aroma features roast malt, resiny hops, a citrus hint. Flavor yields roast malt, smoky, charred hops, juicy orange. Texture produces firm smooth body and peppy fizz. Keep the shadows.
