Berliner Style Sour Wheat Beer In Berlin this beer is served with a shot of raspberry or woodruff syrup. Drink it straight or try it sweetened with a syrup of your choice, maple syrup would be uniquely American. Green Man aged this beer for 4 months in a magic barrel - enjoy its bracing tartness and delicate hint of funk. Prost!

Bottle from @RatchetBrews, direct from the brewery. Bottle no. 77 of 150 - a very limited release. Light golden yellow pour with a very short-lived white head, little lacing but good carbonation. Very tart aroma, wet wheat, some sweetness after the initial tart and sour, grassy hops, lemongrass. Taste is very tart and sour upfront, bracingly so, but not a surprise because of the style, light sweetness arises from the malts, calming some of the sour and tart, lightly hopped, lemongrass and lemon zest, still a long sour and tart bitter. Excellent representation of a style that I love. Thanks Ratchet for this rare gem.
