This poured a light copper color with a white head. The aroma contained some citrus and caramel notes. There is a hint of toffee in there. The flavor is somewhat bitter with some lemons showing but also has a nice malty backbone. Overall this is a pretty good session beer.

Pours a nice clear amber with a decent white head. Strong, malty aroma has fruity and hoppy underpinnings. Flavor fills the mouth with good malt and quite a bit of hops, woody and a little bitter, plus more than a hint of fruit. Smooth texture has plenty of fizz and sass. a toast to the Green Man!

this is not a bad brew for a beer coming out of my hometown. it is a nice golden colouration coming off the tap. it has a moderately good head and a decent mouth feel. it is the initial taste that is the kicker, pungent and strong yet tastey. the aftertaste is the only downer as it is bitter for its colour. worth a try though, if you ever get a chance to visit its home pub, it is very quaint; Jack of the Wood.
