A deep mahogany colored beer with a big frothy-cream textured light tan colored head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. A creamy ringlet is left. caramel nalt in the nose. A yeasty sourness and grassy notes are in the tasting with that caramel base. Medium smooth body. Very nice.

Pours a pretty amber-mahogany with a fairly thick pale tan head. Aroma has malty, caramel and subtle malty notes. Flavor has a strong malty core plus woody hop and caramel notes, not so bitter. Texture is fizzy, if thin. OK, if not outstanding.

Poured without a head at Jack of the Woods in Asheville. Dark copper color with an aroma of grass and yeast. Sour yeasty flavor up front with a sweet finish of roasted grain. Wet with just a hint of chewiness, not so full-bodied as expected. Tiny bubbles. Nice bitterness but a little too sour for my tastes. Still a great match to the roasted red pepper soup.

The only other beer I had on tap while at Green Man. Pours a bright, clear amber with a modest sized off white head. Herbal essence, ripe fruit, pine and hops on the nose. Taste is full on malted, toffee flavors, with a soft bitter finish.

This poured a dark amber color with a white head. Aroma contains some herbal notes, caramel, and toffee. Flavor is slightly bitter but mostly malty with some buscuit, caramel, and citrus. Overall this is pretty good.
