Amber colour, small white head. Aroma of plum, alcohol, malts and some fruits. Fruits, plum and hops dominate the flavour. Aftertaste is fruit and candy sugar. Hides the alcohol very well. Also some caramellish hints.

Amber with a small thick head in a Duvel glass. Grassy, sweet, malty and nutty aroma. Nice malty, sweet and balanced hoppy notes. Some toffe, grass, yellow fruit notes too. A bit syrup in finish with some nice hoppy dry notes. Very good.

RBESG 2006 Grand Tasting. 2000 vintage, ABV for this vintage was 8.1%. Hazy brown colour, low head. Surprisingly pale for a doppelbock. Sweetish bakery aroma, some alcohol. Flavour is cloying malty sweet and one-dimensional. Disappointing. Drank it too warm though.
