Pilsner is crisp and refreshing, delivering full flavour with a well-balanced finish. It's extra-aged and always fresh, posseses great Prairie taste and is only made locally from the finest 100% Saskatchewan-malted barley.

I had this beer at a hotel in Saskatoon, Canada on 10 March 2011. This beer was crisp and clean. Being a fan of local beer, it was a pleasure to try this beer in its own backyard. A nice pilsner.

Had this a few times, living in Saskatchewan it would be hard to totally ignore it. It's alright, but I do remember I had a pretty bad headache the day after drinking it.

Found a few Great Western products rattling around the fridge after having some people over. Wasn't too impressed with it. Thin tasting beer that doesn't differ too much from the big macros.

Consumed at some craphole at Circle Drive north and Hwy16 in Saskatoon. Standard straw yellow with some bubbs, decent white head with lots of lacing all the way through. Aroma was quite weak but what was there was wheat and a touch of skunk - nothing offensive here at all. Taste was pretty good but 100% standard: Grain and dusty malts, faint apple bitterness during the sip only. Mouthfeel was too rough with an overabundance of carbonation. Weak, but lasting bitterness - finishes dry. Light bodied. There ain't nuthin wrong with this beer. Classic Canadian pilsner taste. Why give Molson & Labatt money when you can give it to Great Western?

Very good Pilsner beer! Highly reccomend this beer to everyone. The whole great western line of beers are fantastic. I would have to mention I might be a bit biast, since it is brewed only in my hometown of Saskatoon, but it is great beer!

Your average pilsner beer - pours a straw yellow color, fair head of white bubbles that don't last, thin lasting lace. Mildly hoppy aroma. Slightly sweet, malt flavor. Crisp pilsner taste, nothing overpowering or offensive with a clean aftertaste. Reasonably priced, easy to drink, available at every bar in Saskatchewan.
