Nomad is our spin on the classic Bohemian Pilsner style. The journey starts with German malts and Saaz hops that offer a lively floral nose and crispness, while a full 5 weeks of lagering time ensures that Nomad is eminently balanced. This Nomad may wander, but its got some serious roots.

A pilz is a pilz is a pilz. This one is about average for the style. Kind of light and pale, as I prefer the slightly more malty kind. Only grabbed a sample in a flight, as I wouldn't go out of my way for this....especially entering the winter season now, as this is more of a spring/summer beer.

Pours a slightly hazy solar yellow with a rather thick and foamy eggshell head. Crisp, malty aroma has a resiny overtone and a hint of fruit. Flavor combines light malty, slightly sweet fruity, and a little hoppy. Smooth flavor is quite firm and fizzy, leaving a crisp and slightly hoppy finish. A superior Pilsner, IMHO.

Nice n crisp. Malt heavy flavor, but enough hops in the finish and aroma to make it interesting. Light grass and some decent florals, crackers, slightly sweet. Not bad.

TaP @ The Hay Merchant (last beer of the night, not including the chugging of that nice women's Jacobin Rouge, sorry lady!) .. . pours a shimmering gold .. good solid foam, lacing like movie credits .. . slick and crispy mouthfeel .. just plain good, even though i was blasted outta my skull, i loved this beer!! .. . . I ate a whole lot of fiberglass insulation. It wasn't cotton candy like that man said--..my stomach's itchy.

A little heavier than a traditional pilsner, and a bit more hops as well, long and lasting bitter finish. Some grass and bread with a very slight metallic touch. Overall a decent enough brew, a bit pricey so i am not sure if I would buy another sixer.

Sample on draft at McNellies. Pours light gold with a creamy white head. Prominent grassy herbal hop nose. Fairly bitter and quite drinkable. Decent example of the style.

12oz bottle, bottled on 1/12/12. Pours a clear yellow with a fluffy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet corny malts and some metallic, floral noble hops.
The flavor is sweet grainy malts with some vegetal notes. There's a good amount of bitterness in the finish from the noble hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a little watery.
Overall, decent hops but very vegetal and sweet. -

Sampled on 2/28/2012. This Bohemian Pilsner pours a light yellow gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is grainy, floral and citrusy. A light to medium bodied Bohemian Pils. The malts are cereal and grainy, slightly sweet. The hops are citrusy and spicy. Decent carbonation. Light and refreshing. This bottle does not seem to have the DMS issues that other reviews seem to indicate. Perhaps a little too crisp and dry, but no real off flavors. A touch of cat pee perhaps. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean, crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

This one needed to warm or I was going to toss it on first sampling. It gets better. A pale golden color with a medium fluffy white head that dissapates far too quickly. A thick frosted film and a thick ringlet are left behind. Earthy, grassy. Sweet breadiness. Medium to full bodied and smooth.

Nicely done and robust Czech pilsner. Pours deep golden with a faint white head and mild carbonation. Grassy aroma with earthy notes. Velvet to bubbly to the pallette. Flavor is citrus/malt and robust compared to many other American version of a pilsner.
