Always nice to try a style that’s fairly difficult to find either on tap on in bottles. By the time I was getting into this beer, I was getting into my grilled mushroom quesadilla and this beer went really well with the earthy mushrooms and the creamy cheese. The body of the beer was a pale gold, crystal clear with a creamy 1" off-white head. A pretty simple, straight-forward aroma of yeast, light pit fruits....a touch of maltiness. Flavor has some light malty toast character....bready, yeasty and a touch fruity.

This surely fits the decription of a Kolsch. Bright and shining golden color, copious head that foams right out of the glass. Crisp and clean tasting, with some malty sweetness and some hints of apples and pears. The slightest hop zing in the finish. Delicious and light beer to bring in the new year while staying in Reno.

one of their boring beers to appease the swill drinking masses. modeled after the swill, but better. light, smooth and fruity malt, slightly bitter finish. still boring though.
