Well, it was made out of a 50/50 split of malted emmer and 2 rowbarley. ABV was 5.1%, O.G. 1.047, FG 1.008. No hops used, IBU a big 0. We used coriander and juniper berries, coriander at a rate of about 20oz and 9 ounce juniper berries in 300 gallons . Yeast used was Wyeast 3333, Ger. Wheat. Check out http://ancientgrains.org/samuel2000aemt.pdf for a methodology used for the actual brew. Thanks, Jazz Aldrich Brewery Operations Manager Great Basin Brewing Co.

Sampled at Mammoth Lakes Bluesapalooza. I didn't really know what to expect from this as there isn't a lot of what I would expect from a "beer" here. The color is a very bright straw yellow. The body rather light and empty. This is a great desert beer...I could see myself drinking glasses of this in the 110 degree summer...or while overseeing my slaves build my eternal monument in the Nile River valley. There are no hops in this, so it tastes more like a weak tea than anything else. The coriander is the most present flavor, aroma is zilch. Glad it was free, glad it was only 4 oz, glad I had the experience.
