This delightfully hefty “double bockbier” is a beautifully complex winter warmer with a sweet, nutty and pronounced caramel palate. The strength is obtained from a generous malt bill of a variety of imported German malted barley, a double mash, and long, cold lagering. Prost!!!

i've had this fresh, and in year old kegs. fesh, it's solid, with the prototypical breadlike yeastiness and sweet warming malt. a year on this bad boy made it the best beer GB has ever served. awesome, smooth, and highly drinkable, yet complex.

A very, very nice dopplebock here. One of the standout beers on my beer trip in the Sierra Nevada area. Aroma is melted carmels, molasses, light tangerine, and toffee. An assertive malt profile with loads of caramel, maple, light coffeeand raisins.
