Ginja Ninja Ginger Beer is a new seasonal beer that replaces the Ginger Beer previously available in the GIB Limited Release Series. While the older brand was an ale, this new one is a lager, and is described as having "a light body and low bitterness, which allows the fruity, yet subtly spicy flavours and aromas of ginger to stand out and be the star."

Lovely amber hue and a light white head with moderate lacing. Beautiful ginger aroma but the taste disappoints...ginger is predominant with not much to round it out...nice that it is not sweet, however.

Pours a thin head. Has a golden/rusty coloured appearance. Weak lacing. Aromas are mild, light grainy malts, sweet, faint ginger. Ginger flavour is fairly apparent, not overly strong as well which is a good thing for me. Has just enough so as to not make it very bitter. Good balance with sweetness also. Spices and a bit of nutmeg in the finish. Average retention. Medium bodied mouthfeel. Not too bad, this one.

6-pack from the LCBO. Pours a hazy amber colour with a small creamy warm cap that leave a little lacing after disappearing quickly enough. Beautiful nose of real ginger that is spicy, not sweet. Not much of a mouthfeel, kinda bland and wet with no attack. The ginger is milder in the taste, as listed. It does linger a bit in the aftertaste. Ingredients listed on label: beer, ginger. OK ?! Still, pretty nice overall as feels like real ginger, and not some extract.
