Growler filled fresh from the bright tank. Puts a shimmering lightly hazed amber-gold ale in the glass...moderate carbonation, thick rocky 3 finger cap lasts and laces the glass well. Aroma: Deeeelish! Fresh bready malts some light sweetness and spices like cinnamon, clove, ginger...smells like gingerbread dough. You get the ginger bread up front then some complexity develops as the spices back off for hops, phenols and esters to come forward giving a citrus rind with spice and a leafy discernment ...like a clove-spiked orange pomander... in the finish you get that gingerbread taste again as the biscuit malts and spices come forward. Well executed spiced ale...balanced and pleasant to drink...hides the alcohol well.
