Brewed in the English tradition, Nut Brown Ale combines the finest domestic and imported malts to produce a chestnut-hued ale of unusual complexity. Subtle notes of chocolate, honey and fine tobacco give this world champion ale an enjoyable and satisfying "nutty" finish.

12 oz bottle to a pint glass. The beer pours dark brown with a thin khaki head that leaves little lacing. Aroma is hazelnuts, malts, and a bit of grassy hops. Overall aromas are somewhat subdued. Taste is toffee, nuts, sticky malt, and a bit of hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is a little thin and alcohol is not present. Overall a decent representation of the style.

VERY dark in color - almost black.NICE tan thick head as well. could smell the nuts and could taste the chocolate as well. a touch too much carbonation otherwise this is the perfect beer for me right now. I heart brown ales!

Smells straight-up like chocolate. Little to no after-taste. Both complex and smooth. Good-sized head. Taste is pretty complex and nutty but something about it is a little too watery for my taste.
