A far cry from our original IPA, The Hitchhiker is a big floral/citrus American IPA. Aromas and flavors of pineapple, grapefruit, orange, and tangerines take center stage with a tad bit of caramel malt backbone to balance just a bit. A very dry finish with hops flavors lingering...this one is for the hopheads.

Pours somewhat hazy amber with a thick, frothy eggshell head. Aroma features resiny hops, rather strong, riding a note of tart citrus. Bold flavor delivers a strong resiny and bitter hop tone that has woody and tart orange notes in supporting roles. Mouthfeel presents good body, nice fizz, and a resiny finish. Pick up this hitchhiker! Come to think of it, though I’ve made several long road trips in the past couple years - one from Atlanta to San Diego, and back - I’ve seen only one or two hitchhikers. Looks as though they are going extinct.

Big and bold - off the tap from the Good People taproom where they had 6 IPAs on tap last night. The floral citrus aroma smacks you from about a foot away... pleasantly. Hoppy flavor to say the least with all requsite IPA flavors in huge proportions, but none too overwhelming. Clean finish. Superb.
