Pours a dark blackwith a thin creamy tan head. Lots of roasted malt in the aroma, along with some chocolate and coffee. Flavour has the same elements with a hint of vanilla to balance it out. Goes down very easy for a 8.9% beer.

A solid black appearance with a beige head. A roasted charcoal and coffee aroma. The taste is very bitter with roasted malts and coffee. Not much sweetness exists in this beer. Overall this was excellent.

Opaque black, tan head, and some lacing. Roasty sweet, and dark fruits in the aroma. Lightly bitter, dark roasted malts, and chocolate. Alcohol backbone. Nice, this is an Imperial Stout for sure!

Cask... Poured opaque black with a light tan head. Beautiful cascase of tan head and nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of brandy, dark fruits, roasted chocolate, pepper, and hops. Taste was full of chocolate and coffee, some tobacco, and just the slightest bit of alcohol. Very creamy mouthfeel, very nice.

Finishing my reviews of the Real Ale Rendezvous beers from over a month ago. This was cask conditioned. Can't remember any details, sorry!

Very dark, with a liquorice aroma. Roasted malt, semi-sweet. Very good.
