A classic representative of Czech-style lager with an historic tradition (the Gambrinus brewery was founded in Pilsen in 1869) is distinctive for its delicious bitter taste, its golden colour and rich cream-like foam. The unique flavour is derived from the use of high-quality domestic raw materials, the famed Pilsen water and generations of experience of the local brewers.

500 ml bottle. Poured in the special edition Gambrinus tulpe a clear amber-orange colored Pils with a two fingers white foamy head that had a quite short retention. Low carbonation. No lacing. The aroma is strong grassy hops, straw and hay, moderate malty. The flavour is quite sweety malts, buttery, may be some honey, notes of caramel, moderate floral hoppy bitterness. The mouthfeel is fizzy and smooth. This light to medium bodied Pils has a sweety malty and floral hoppy bitterness finish. A pretty nice and easy drinkable Pils. A favourite for most Czech people.

Dark golden colour with mediumsized white foamy head. Nutty, hoppy and malty aroma. Strong hops in flavour with nuts and malt. Aftertaste is strong salty and hoppy. Mouthdrying.

Nice Czech pilsener. Clear yellow colour, pleasant rich fluffy foam. Malty-grassy aroma, but has some nice hoppy scents and it's rather tempting. Watery in a mouth, goes smooth, intense in malt and somehow oily. Malty background, some unclear sweetness, barley traces. Softly hoppy at the end giving slight bitter feeling. If some more bitterness at the end, it would be extremely good. Recommended if one wants to enjoy easy and smooth lager.

One of the nicer Czech Beers. Nice colour with a bit of foam. Sweet on the attack and not too bitter except on the aftertaste. Nice and smooth like most Czech lagers.

Nice yellow color, much foam, but this feam dissapears quite fast though. Great malty and grainy aroma. Tastes great, but aftertaste is a bit bitter, if You ask me. Anyway, another great Czech beer, they know, what they are doing :)
