Voici un hommage à Pierre Celis, l’inventeur Belge de la blanche moderne, qu’il a su ressusciter. La désaltération a un goût, celui de la Blanche de Chelsea, qui fait danser les agrûmes et le blé sur nos papilles.

Enjoyed a pint at Pub Chelsea. Pours a good size foamy white head and dissipates to a thin layer. Has a fairly clear golden appearance with decent lacing. Aromas of citrus zest, oranges and spices. Flavour are fruity of the citrus variety. Some notes of yeast, coriander and light bitter hops. Good retention. Smooth and silky mouthfeel.

Enjoyed at the Gainsbourg brewpub. Pours a slight hazy, light golden-yellow colour with a white head, average retention and mild lacing. Hoppy fresh grass nose with Belgian Ale yeast and some grain. The flavour starts off hoppy with some coriander and a grainy finish. Quite a refreshing mouthfeel. Not quite a witbier, as too filtered and the hop is a little too present for one. Still, a nice refreshing grassy brew.
