One of our original brands, this crisp flavourful wheat beer has been a spring board for many craft beer love affairs over the years. We add a special blend of Canadian barley and wheat malts for brisk clean flavour, spicy hops for balance, and bucket loads of local honey for its lovely floral aroma. John A’s Honey Wheat is an easy drinking light ale with great thirst quenching qualities. We’re proud to use Honeydew Apiaries honey in our Sir John A’s Honey Wheat Ale. Note: Formerly a 5% beer

Part of the Gahan Fathers Commemorative 4-Pack at the LCBO. Pours a slight hazy golden colour with lots of active carbonation, giving a frothy white head that stays a long time and leaves some decent creamy lace. You can definitely smell the sweetness of the honey over the wheat. The taste is not really sweet, with more of the cereal grain coming out. Mild grass balances things. Pretty refreshing overall and nicely brewed for a session.
