New for 2011, this Imperial IPA’s full malt body is elevated by the loads of hop flavor and bitterness. Copious amounts of Citra, Chinook, Columbus, Cascade and Centennial hops are used to give this beer a wonderful aroma of orange zest and lemon. This fruitiness from the hops is complimented by a nice caramel biscuit malt flavor from the pale and crystal malts and finishes balanced with a slight hop kick. This beer was dry hopped for your enjoyment. Available in 22oz Bottles and Draught ABV 7.5% IBUs: 80

Strong, woody aroma has an overtone of resin and hints of apple. It pours a beautiful clear golden amber with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled pale yellowish tan head. Richly hoppy flavor has a woody note and hints of apple and caramel. Smooth, firm-bodied texture has a strong, edgy tingle and leaves a tingly, woody finish.

Sampled on 7/9/2011. This Imperial India Pale Ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is floral and citrusy, herbal and tropical. A medium bodied Imperial IPA. The malts are caramel, fruity, tropical. Lots of orange and orange peel. The hops are piney, citrusy and herbal. Nice carbonation. Hoppy without being an over the top hop bomb, (remember what those were?) mostly balanced leaning slightly to the hops. Crisp and clean. Lots of hop flavors at the finish, and they linger way past the aftertaste. Think hop burps. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp, but with a whole lot of dryness. Aftertaste is bitter.
