The beer poured a hazed dark golden brown with a thin tan coloured cap. The aroma was grainy, with weak herbal hops, and caramel notes. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour was burnt caramel, some wooden flavours, and a weak hop presence. -

Labelled as doppelsticke alt. definitely drier than any doppelbock. Malty and a bit rich. Dry and slightly more bitter in the finish. Slight plum fruit, dough, dark malts and a hit of hops. Pretty good, but not a standout in a ever crowded market...
