    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Tasted at the 13th Annual Strong Ale Fest on 12/5/2009. This barleywine pours a slightly hazy medium orange gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with nice lacing. The aroma is fruit and sweet, touch of orange and orange peel. A medium to full bodied Barley wine. The malts are fruity and sweet, orange and orange peel. The hops are citrusy and floral. Lots of malt sweetness and orange. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Touch of alcohol bite. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

This IIPA pours with a deep amber body topped by a thin to medium thick head with some lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet yet bitter and piney with alcohol esters. The flavor is sweet and malty with a bitter piney finish and a little grapefruit. Full bodied, smooth and slightly dry.
