This beer is the love-child of two of my favorite styles: big, hoppy IPA’s and crisp, refreshing American Wheat beers. Synergy is achieved as the bold citrusy hops of the IPA harmonize with the thirst quenching tartness of an American Wheat. Pairs nicely with hikes to Horsetooth, Poudre River floats, and moonlit bikerides.

Strong aroma is both wheaty and hoppy, with about equal parts of both, something I do not believe I have encountered before. I love to find beers with distinctive flavors and combinations; I don’t always like ’em, but I’m glad to give ’em a fair shake. It pours a pretty clear golden yellow with a fairly thick and rather persistent fluffy white head that leaves a good bit of lacing. Hoppy flavor has a wheaty undertone, a sweet fruity note, and just a touch of bitterness. Texture is smooth, on the thick side, just a little fizzy, leaving a hoppy, fruity, slightly wheaty and slightly tingly finish. Incredible? Maybe not, but still darn good!

22oz bottle. Pours a clear gold with a frothy creamy white head that retain sits head well and laces the glass.
The aroma is a bit subdued - some wheat with piney hops and a little rye.
The flavor is sweet grainy malts with some resiny spicy(rye) hops that have a good amount of bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, an interesting concept. I don't really care for the flavor profile though - the spicy hop flavors or the sweet grainy malts.
