    Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8

The Spezial Marzen poured a hazy, dark, reddish-brown. It had a thick light brown head that went to a thin layer that lasted for the entire glass and left some lacing. Very nice looking!

The aroma was grassy and caramel malts with some spiciness and a strong smoke smell.

The taste was sweet caramel initially with some fruitiness and grassiness, followed by a lingering, bitter smoke flavor and aftertaste.

The mouthfeel was smooth and lively. It was much fuller than most of FCB's offerings.

Overall, it was very interesting. A nice contrast of sweet and smoke. I think that this is FCB's best yet.
