Edgar Lager is actually our brewmaster’s personal recipe that he had made for years. It’s an amber style lager using malt imported from Bamberg, Germany. This lager has a great malt bouquet and a sweet spiciness being brewed with Weyermann malt and German Spalt hops. Wonderful for any Occasion.

light bodied amber in color. not too much of a head and light in lacing. great malty aroma (touch of chocolate??) and a nice aftertaste of hops for a complex finish!

Sampled at the brewery taproom. Poured a clear copper color with a thin off-white head. Aroma was sweet and grassy. Flavor was sweet, smooth, and malty. I was pleasantly surprised by how good this was.

Copper brown color. Small white foamy head. Aroma is malt, caramel, cookies and cinnamon. Medium bodied vienna style lager. Malts are fruity and sweet, lots of cookie and cinnamon flavors. Very sweet. Touch of hop bitterness. Interesting beer, not much there but sweetness and spice. Thanks Sean.. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

The Edgar pours a clear amber with a fine off-white head that quickly goes to a collar.
Its aroma is sweet, grassy, caramel malt with some subtle hops.
The flavor is sweet, caramel malts with a subdued metallic bitter hop finish. It almost seems a little smoky as well. As it warms more toasted caramel comes out. The mouthfeel was kind of acidic and harshly carbonated.
Overall, not bad but not very exciting either. I remember more fruit notes when sampling this at the brewery.
