A dark orange apperance with a moderate sized white head. The aroma is rather herbal with some citrus, perfume, and caramel. Still hint of wacky weed in the nose but not as much as the XIPA. The flavor contains some herbal notes with grapefruit and lemons showing. Overall a good one!

Tasted at Noogfest 4.0 (2008). This Imperial IPA pours a medium orange gold color from the bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet with some citrusy hops. A medium bodied Imperial IPA. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are citrusy and grapefruit. Nice balance. Good carbonation. A nice IPA, well balanced without a lot of bitterness. I guess I shouldn’t measure this one up against all those West Coast 2xIPAs. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean aqnd smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
