Named after the only people to have lived on the Five Islands, who produced shark oil for a living. Our Shark Oil is an Indian Pale Ale, which is a bitter beer with a great flavour for those wanting a different style of beer.

Tasted at the Five Islands brewpub, Wollongong. A pale amber ale, thin slick head. The aroma is hop heaven; nettles, oregano, other wild herbs I can't finger. Could dry this up and smoke it. The flavour is again hop-driven, with herbal being the best adjective. Reminders of Campari or Swedish bitters. Good lingering bitterness.
