Pours orangey-gold with small head. Aroma is spicy and tropical. Bright citrus character meets yeasty bites of pepper and coriander in the flavor. Really nice medium body and smooth, probably the best feeling wheat I have sampled. Liked it a lot. Thanks to slowrunner77 for enabling another great Firestone experience.

It pours a slightly hazy gold and burnt-orange with a very thin white head and no real lacing. An aroma of wheat malts, orange and citrus, some pumpkin, honey, light tart and spices. The mouthfeel is smooth, thick, and rich. Flavors of wheat malts, light hops, orange and citrus, light pumpkin, honey, and spiciness. Very good!

12oz bottle -
To say this was average, is acutally a compliment, because it could be really bad. Thankfully the beer is in the hands of a master of his craft, and this American Wheat (one of the few styles that I really don't enjoy very much) is drinkable with the hot-wings I had. Clean flavors, light banana and cracker dough. Finish is clean with no lingering flavors. Mouthfeel is light-bodied, carbonatation is kept low. Good session beer. -

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy yellow gold with a medium white head that quickly goes to a thin collar that leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is hefeweizen like - banana and clove with some light citrus, pepper and wheat.
The flavor is a bit subdued and watery with some yeasty banana and wheat with some sweet fruity malt. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and watery.
Overall, I was not too impressed especially at $10 for a 6 pack. It's watery with too much banana for me. It does get a bit better as it warms. -

This treat from slowrunner77 takes American Wheats to a new level; uncharacteristically rich and flavorful for the style. Pours a hazy oragnge-gold with a foamy white head. Deep aromas of fruit, yeast and grain. Unexpected full, rich and smooth mouthfeel for a relatively light-bodied beer. Superb blend of saison-like flavors; mellowed but complex taste of fruit and malt with understated spice. Long rich and slightly bitter finish. The brewers knew what they were doing creating this "fusion" farmhouse ale. There's a lot going on in this "simple" beer; the mark of fine craftsmanship - nicely done!

an interesting hybrid between a saison and a wheat/heffe. light but flavorful. aroma is citrus and a little yeast and spice. body is light. dark golden in color. flavor is the strength as it does the saison funky spice and wheat well. nice seasonal.

Sampled on 5/4/2009. This wheat ale pours a slightly hazy medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is slightly fruity, a little spicy and citrusy. A medium bodied wheat beer. The malts are fruity and sweet, a touch of citrus and some cereal. Not picking up any banana and clove. The hops are floral. Mild carbonation. Not a bad wheat beer, but there is not much here. Or to be fair, there is not much here for me. I mean it’s a well made beer, I can’t taste any real bad defects, but I am fairly neutral on the beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
