The Bon Friar Smoked Helles is a very light German-style lager with a gentle touch of beechwood smoked malt. Dry, crisp, and clean, Bon Friar features floor-malted German Pilsner malt, providing a soft, grainy sweetness behind the smoke. The origin of the beer’s name is a mystery that we may never know nor understand.

Taps clear golden with a fair ivory head. Aroma delivers fresh malt, smoky and pomme tones. Flavor presents crisp fresh malt, smoky, and sweet apple and pear notes with a bit of resiny hops on the back end. Texture gives fair body and perky fizz. Monkin' good.
