Our Pumpkin Brown Ale stems from our infamous First Trax Brown Ale, but is instead brewed with organic pumpkins, cinnamon, nutmeg and numerous spices to create a deliciously smooth and tasty accompaniment to your favourite seasonal dish. Resulting in a brew fit for any beer connoisseur or your average turkey aficionado. A seasonal product, October 2010 saw our first batch fly out the door and off the shelves quicker than Harry Potter on a broomstick. But with a rumoured brewing uproar more catastrophic than "He who shall not be named", we have since made this a seasonal occurrence, ensuring we make enough of the good stuff to get you through Thanksgiving and Halloween and maybe even on to Christmas.

Another of the pumpkin ales to inhabit our shelves at this time. Smallish ivory head and a dark brown pour. Aroma was okay, some malt, not much pumpkin, an unidentified spice. Flavour at least was better, with pumpkin but it could've used more cinnamon. Thinnish mouthfeel and not as sweet at the finish as I'd expected. Decent enough beer but far from the best pumpkin offering.

Oops, I was in a rush, then forgot, kind froze the beer, but as I wasn't expecting the earth I poured it with a few ice crystals involved. Really dark brown, clear, thin white head. Taste is more pumpkin than spice, which I am into. Bit prickly and thin, characteristic of Fernie. Not great beer, but quaffable. Something vaguely reminiscent of watered down belgian quad flavours, like plum and christmas cakes were steeped in the beer for a while then filtered out. I like that it leans just a touch to the bitter side and the thin mouthfeel makes that OK. I can't imagine a bitter full bodied pumpkin, well then maybe I can. It works well in this circumstance.
