An average Czech style Pilsener that is available at a few local bars and the beer store. A clear golden beer with a white head that has that unmistakeable grainy aroma and taste. If you need a good cold beer, this won't upset you.

Well as I do with all pilsners, I sampled 3 ways: out of the bottle, which is okay if a glass isn't available but not recommended. Out of the North American style pilsner glass, like a Michelob glass, is not at all advised, as out of this style of glass it's very sweet tasting and horrid. And 3, out of the champagne-flute German style pilsner, like a Stella Arotis. This style is recommended as it brought forth the best flavours and made for the most pleasant drinking experience. The ratings above are for style no. 3

Bottle: Poured a dark yellow color pils with a nice bug bubbly white head with pretty good retention. Aroma of crisp hops and nice floral malt are very enjoyable. Taste is quite refreshing with some lightly sweet floral malt and a nice crisp hops finish. Body is a bit too thin and I would have appreciated more carbonation but this is still a very enjoyable pils.

pale golden colour with a little foam and no lace; the aroma is well-hopped, crispy, medium-bodied with a clean malt profile; dry aftertaste - really not bad

I deleted my past reviews of this beer because I felt that the changes done to it, basically, made it a whole new beer....so a new review is in order. I am aware the brewer is now using soft spring water and better hops in reformulating this German style pils. It certainly had a great deal of impact as this is now one of the tastyer Ontario micro pils. Poured into my glass as a pale straw, slightly hazed lager with a nice fluffy white cap that lasts and laces the glass well. Champagne-like carbonation with spirals of small bubbles coming of the glass bottom. The nose is filled with a pleasant blend of musty apple, herbs and sweet bready malt aromas. Medium-light body has good malt pronouncement balanced well with herbal hops and a unique musty fruit tone (from the yeast). The finish is lightly bready and very citrusy with a slight bittering aftertaste. A very pleasnat blend of tastes, very drinkable and satisfying for those who like malt accented Gernam pilsners. This will be a standard summer quaff for me.

Ligh gold in color, white head and fine lace. Some malts noted at the start, some what sweet at the top and a bit of hops noticed at the fairly dry finish. Clean and fresh as a pilsner should be, not bad for a non-dark beer, quite drinkable.
