A beloved delicacy from the Near East to others a symbol of evil temptation that leads Edmund to betray his family in a cherished novel for children. Whatever the association we’ve crafted a timeless and very tempting treat with bittersweet notes of cardamom, coffee and Arabian nights. Perhaps enjoy this beer in a magically food and beverage triangle on Metropolitan Ave in Brooklyn. Wherever you are this beer is made delightfully good and deceivingly well balanced just for you.

Pours an opaque coffee brown that lets in a peep of ruby-brown light at the bottom and has a thick, if not persistent, tan head. Rich aroma has cinnamon, roast malt, coffee, nutty, and earthy notes - gets the ol’ salivary glands fired up! Flavor is somewhat sweet, but not too sweet; woody hops balance the sweet notes, and complement the roast malt, caramel, cinnamon, and nutty components of the flavor. Texture is not too firm or fizzy, but it leaves a pleasing finish. This is indeed a delight!

I purchased a sample of this beer at the Barrel Chest in Roanoke, VA. This was a nice brown ale. Notes of cocoa, coffee, and some toffee. Very even beer - well balanced.
