Evil twin continues to stretch their wings. Didn't know what this even was when I bought it, just that it was evil twin and 10.5%. Turns out its a rather dark, sweet, fruity and earthy iipa. A little spice in their too and abounding bitterness. The aroma especially with the aging in Chardonnay barrels was just plain fantastic. Great mix of citrus and grape. Soft and woodsy, shows a little alcohol but otherwise great.

same as cyber, took me 20 min to successfully pour this beer from the bottle to the glass, literally! Not only did it puff up more than the magic dragon.... the head retained itself for a really long time. That said when getting down to the nuts and bolts of it, it was a Scandinavian IPA, which is a style new to me, and the novelty has not worn itself off at all. Really excited about the gentle earthiness, faint sour, and hops that are not at all american in profile. The malt profile seems to have a fruit over light carmel, nothing bready really at all. Something like pine but not as acute, more like a round, broad leafy pine, if that existed... maybe like birch. Some orange is the closest I can discern to the normal american hop palate. Really really happy with this. Purchased at Beermongers portland.

Aroma is firm and hoppy with a yeasty undertone and a citrus hint. The sample I got fizzed like nobody's business, so be careful if you have this in a bottle! It pours a hazy dark honey-golden that is barely translucent and has a thick, frothy, rather persistent light golden tan head. Flavor is decently hoppy with a firm touch of evergreen, a subtle citrus undertone that mainly grapefruit plus a little sour orange, and a whisper of sweetness. Finish is hoppy, a little fruity and just slightly bitter. Texture is quite fizzy and lively, leaving a nice tingle. OK, maybe on the overpriced side, but still a more than adequate Imperial IPA.

Bottled@Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel, fruits, wood, some earth and mild spicyneess. Flavour is herbal, sweet malty along with fruits, wood and some mild resiny notes.
