Dark as the night, this beer is proving to be a crowd pleaser. Over 100 pounds of flaked oatmeal help round out this beer with a subtle smooth sweetness. Subtle hints of black current and roasted coffee round out the flavor. Hops produce a great balance to the aroma and flavor.

I had this at the Green Dragon last week. I never heard of this brewery before and was surprised to see it wasn't listed on here! Strong coffee aroma. Black color with decent tan head. Mildly hoppy with a sharp mouthfeel, but light body. Not very exciting and the flavor of pretty weak coffee and roasted malt didn't impress me. Bitter lingering finish. I guess it's not everybody's stout after all.
