Pours a hazy golden with a thick cream yellow-white head. Aroma is mainly fruity with a malty underpinning. Wonderful fruity flavor has subtle notes of butterscotch and sweet malt. Mouthfeel is firm, smooth and lively, with a bit of hops sneaking in at the end.

330 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 9%. Pale golden colour, slightly hazy, huge white head. Strong sweetish aroma of Belgian ale yeast, white kandi sugar, over-ripe fruits and mild spices. The flavour is sweet with a nice spicness and decent hops throughout, maybe too strong notes of white kandi sugar. Sweet enough to replace a sweet wine with many finer dishes, but has also enough bitterness to avoid being cloying, and retain some refreshing qualities.

Bottle. Poured a slight cloudy medium amber colored beer with a two fingers slight beige creamy foamy head that had a long retention. Active carbonation. Great lacing. The aroma is caramel malts, floral hops, yeast and dark ripe fruits. The flavour is sweety malts, tart, biscuits, fruity, citrus, spicy, coriander, licorice and slight peppery. The mouthfeel is first creamy and then very smooth and a little vinous. This full bodied beer has a lingering ripe fruits finish. A nice tasting gift.

Hazy yellowish orange colour with mediumsized white creamy head. Sweet fruity aroma with hints of wheat. Flavour fruity with sting of alcohol. Abrupt end of flavour, no finish and aftertaste. Quite non-saying Tripel.

This beer was sampled at the 12 Hour Belgian Beer Festival 2005 and honestly I can’t remember ever seeing the guy who gave it to us before or after the fest..but whoever you are..thanks! This beer pours a cloudy yellow color with a thin white head and moderate lacing on my glass...also want to point out a definite degree of sediment floating in the glass. The aroma is lemon, yeast, and classic belgian spiceyness..perhaps pepper or coriander. The flavor is light bodied, heavily carbonated with a lemony tartness and a nice quasi-typical sourness into the finish. Some sweet grapefruit balances out the lemon and yeast... fairly basic belgian approach. Been there and done that it seems.....
