German Altbier with a California twist - a traditional German Altbier with more malt, more alcohol and a California Ale yeast fermented cold. Brewed with over 60% Munich Dark Malt, this beer as a distinctly toasty smooth taste balanced with just a hint of bitterness from German Noble hops (Hallertauer) and their American counterpart (Mt. Hood). We ferment with an American Ale yeast at 58dF for a clean finish letting the malt flavor shine through
