It pours a bright copper and burnt-orange with a rather thick off-white head and copious lacing. A rich aroma of caramel malts, gingerbread, light hops, orange and citrus, some apple, bitterness, cinnamon and other spices. The mouthfeel is smooth, thick, and rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, orange and citrus, sweet breads/biscuits, bitterness, again ... ginger and some cinnamon. This is excellent!

An overhyped ESB with a higher than average ABV for the style. It pours a decent rust colour and a fine white head. Aroma is grain, yeast, and hops. Flavour is a little off balance with too much malt.

Sampled at Lazlo's. Poured a clear amber color with a very light white head. No lacing. Aroma was a little hoppy with some caramel and a slight maltiness to it. Flavor was lighter than I would have expected, but it was a little hoppy with a sweet flavor and a slighly bitter finish. A good beer.

Sampled from bottle. Traded with Bditty187 from NE. Pours a clear copper/amber with a thin, scattered off-white head. Aroma is rich caramel with floral, spice and citrus notes from the hops. Flavor is balanced with s strong, complex malt backbone and some spiciness from the hops. Some fruits are noticable. There is a bit of astringent bitterness that lingers, but it is very subdued. Medium-bodied and moderately carbonated. An enjoyable session bitter.

Pours a clear medium-brown with a short, creamy head. There was only a little lacing. Ripe fruits and rich malts comprise a nice bouquet. The flavor is also rich and malty, more so than most ESB's I have sampled. In fact, IMO the dark fruitiness and malts overshadowed the bitterness, which should have been distinct. Oh well, not bad.
