Clear dark reddish brown. The small is beige and long lasting. Malty and warm aroma of fudge, whipped cream and almonds with dryish grassy undertone. Flavourful of dark chocolate, nuts and a whif of smoke with a growing and dense undertone of oily grassy bitter hops and licorice. Long medium bitter finish of grass, pepper and licorice with a subtle sweetness from toffee.

Cask/hand pump at the Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough. Dark brown with an off-white head. Mild malt and hops aroma. Taste is dark malts and plenty of hoppy bitterness. Full bodied and smooth. Very good.
