Pours dark brown, clear, with a modest size head that has good retention and leaves a moderate amount of sticky lacing on the glass. The aroma is less attractive than hoped, with some earthy hop pellets and roasted grains. The flavor is similar in description but notably better and more complex. Near medium body with medium carbonation.

Brown pour, tan head and good lacing. Neutral to the palate with a light to medium body. A touch of roast in the aroma then Band-Aids. Chocolate, toast, and nuts in the flavor then more Band-Aids followed by a metallic twang. One and done with this new offering.

I can see why this won the bronze and not the gold. Pours a dark brown colour, slightly translucent with a full creamy beige head. Aroma is somewhat nutty, hint of smoke and a little bread. Taste is slightly metallicy with some chocolate and raisin notes.

One of the standard beers on tap at the brewpub, on my last trip to Columbus. Clear dark brown, with a slightly off white head that has alright retention, minimal lacing. Mild aroma of toasted malt and some fruitiness. Flavor of malt, slight chocolate and a bit nutty. Balanced off with some floral hoppiness. Dry and clean finish. Decent overall, nice example.
