Tasted on tap at the 2007 Bistro Hop Rhizome Festival. This IPA pours a medium amber color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is mild, but kind of bready and floral. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. Hops are grapefruity and floral. There is a touch of spiciness from the rye. Good carbonation. A medium bitter IPA, the hop flavors are about in the middle of the scale. Mouthfeel is perhaps a touch thin, but not every sip. Which is kind of strange. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is bitter with a touch of alcohol bite.
