Like its cataclysmic namesake, Hypernova Triple India Pale Ale explodes with flavor. Hypernova is layered with tons of hop bitterness and character. 22 oz bottle. Pours clear copper gold with a big creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is subdued - bready malt and ripe fruit with some piney hops and alcohol.
The flavor is sweet candy sugar and bready caramel malts with some fruit and some piney resiny hops. There's big harsh fusel alcohol that really detracts. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, this probably would have been better at a lower ABV with less residual sugar and fusel alcohol.
