Ok, so DBC finally decided to make an IPA. We brew it using six varieties of hops to produce a pleasant citrus aroma and robust hop character. Combined with three types of malt, high Colorado mountain water and select yeast, its finished with copious amounts of dry hops, A well-balanced IPA, Hop Hugger is ready to embrace. "Have you hugged your hops today?"

12oz bottle. Pours a light golden amber with a thin white head that quickly goes to a thin film.

The aroma is extremely subdued - some sweet corny malts.

The flavor is sweet vegetal malts and a little minty leather with a big metallic ashy bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and watery.

Overall, not a good IPA. It has decent bitterness but is a mess.

It pours a dark copper and burnt-orange with a thin light-tan head and thick and copious lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, piney hops, orange and citrus notes, light bitterness and spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, bitterness, orange and citrus, and spiciness. Excellent and smooth ..
