https://www.facebook.com/DueSouthBrewing Drum roll please ... a new beer is on tap ... Summertime Craft Lager. This easy drinking lager was created with South Florida in mind. Its German pilsner malts and light crystal malts create a flavor combination that is both toasted and slightly sweet.

Lagers are hit or miss for me, as most of them are cheaper versions. You can tell this is premium in feel and flavor...yet retaining a light and drinkable beer that is perfect for summer. This reminds me more of a Kolsch or blonde than pilsner. Not quite good enough to get in growler form...but I'd get this in spring/summer if they started canning this for distribution.

Picked up a growler from my favorite local brewery. Appropriate for a warm south Florida day. Clear orange colored body. A big frothy textured, off white head rises briefly above. A thin ringlet is left. A bready malt, light grassy hopped nose. An interesting sweet bready taste. It is light, crisp and effervescent. A very unique Lager.
