Double Coffee Porter 9.3% ABV, 20 IBU Cold brew coffee was added to Dry Dock’s naked porter, which was aged in whiskey barrels to create this complex beer. Double Coffee Porter smells of roasted coffee and oak staves, with hints of dark chocolate and nuttiness to taste. This beer’s creamy body comes from the addition of flaked barley. Food pairing suggestions: grilled steak, pot roast, mashed potatoes, chocolate mousse, vanilla ice cream.

    Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

22 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a very sparse tan head that quickly goes to a very thin film.

The aroma is sweet fudgy chocolate, dark fruit and some bourbon and some coffee comes out as it sits.

The flavor is sweet fruity chocolate with some slightly harsh whiskey and some roast with a little coffee in the finish. The mouthfeel is very thin and watery which distracts a lot from the beer.

Overall, I like the chocolate and the whiskey is not too pronounced. It's way too watery and there's not a lot of coffee.
