standard in hungary. average beer for an average price (about 1,5 USD for half a litre in hungary in a bar, 60-80 cent in a shop :-) a_huge_minus: they started adding sugar to it recently...

Clear yellow with short lasting fluffy white foam head. Just a pilsener as they come in large volumes, but it’s OK. Fine with the schnitzel I ordered. (Budapest 201311)

I am living in Budapest for the next year, and since i have been here i try to steer clear of Dreher. It has a sweet finish that i am not too fond of.

(5.2%, thanks again to boss...). BBE 12/06. Pours a yellowish golden colour with white mediumsized bubbly head. A very hoppy aroma, with some sweetness in it, like many other "Eastern European" lagers. Flavour is quite clean of malts and hops, a bit more to the sweeter, than we are used to in Finland. Biting and slightly dryish bitterness in finish.

This is pretty much the only beer I could easily find in Budapest. Makes sense though since it is brewed there. Pours a clear yellow with a thick white head. Flavor is umimpressive and tastes like a standard pils. Nothing special about this one except where I drank it.

This beer is too ordinary to be good or bad. The colour is pale gold, the taste is malty with a sourish-bitter aftertaste. A little too carbonated that makes the mouthfeel toneless.

It is a nice pilsener but it carries with it a brusqueness that is not my cup of tea.
