Revenge of The Ginger is a kickin' Ginger Red IPA. Available for a limited time next month at the LCBO. The hint of ginger gives a nice little extra kick back with the Northern and Saaz. Revenge of the Ginger is a strong pale ale at 6.2% abv. This beer has a brilliant amber appearance with a creamy white head. While malty, this beer exhibits a great balance of malt and fresh ginger flavour. This beer would be great on it's owning or would certainly compliment highly spiced... foods. Also like people Gingers, you need to keep it out of the hot sun. We've created a balanced tasty beer that Gingers, and people who kick gingers (we prefer hugs) can love!

When I was in University many decades ago, there was a ginger beer available from England that was very good, but over time it disappeared from the shelves. This is not an ideal replacement. The beer pours a cloudy copper colour with a weak light brown head. The aroma is really just ginger and caramel, and anything else is lost in the mix. The flavour is a muddled mess of caramel notes, ginger, and citrus.

Pours an average size frothy off-white head and has an amber coppery appearance. Nice dirty lacing. Aromas are mainly malty. Flavours are sweet, earthy hops. Hints of caramel. Ginger is there, but barely. A bit of a rusty like taste on the palate in the finish. A bit disappointing.

Pours a copper colour with a fluffy white head that does not retain well. Caramel malt and ginger aroma. Ok beer on a warm humid evening. Flavour is caramel malt, pleasant hint of ginger and some earthiness. Medium mouthfeel

Pours a clear amber colour with a full warm cap, great retention and some creamy-foam lacing. Ginger nose with some sweet malts (caramel, fruity) and some grain notes. The taste starts off with the red ale flavours and then, the ginger kicks in a bit. A grassy finish leaves bitterness. All of this is very well-blended and interesting. A nice twist on a ginger beer.

The beer pours a translucent copper colour with a long lasting light tan coloured head. The aroma is citrus, ginger, caramel, and cereal malt. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is ginger and caramel up front with some citrus and malt in behind. Not a lot of sweetness, nor a whole lot of bitterness. 'Meh' is a good way to describe this beer.
