drinking this as i write. I like it! Nothing overpowers here, but it isnt watery at all in my view. Quite crisp with a more substantial feel in the mouth than what it looks like. Perfect with a light meal. It pours like a pilsner and acts like a pils in the glass.. It has left alot of nice lacing behind too! It seems hoppier to me than a pils, the only thing comparable . It's my first Kolsch, I do believe. I'm keeping these on hand for friends coming over who dont like my stronger beer penchant.. Ive lost my receipt, but I paid less then one euro for 500 ml..It's not expensive at all. Try it!

500 ml bottle. Poured in the original Dom-0.2 l Stange a golden orange colored Kölsch with a one finger white foamy head that had a mid-sized retention. Active carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is mild sweety malts, slight foral hops, notes of honey. The flavour is sweet malts, notes of caramel, corn, floral hops. The mouthfeel is crispy and sparkling with a watery texture. This medium bodied Kölsch has a slight hoppy finish. A decent but quite neutral Kölsch.

I will admit up front I am a big fan of Koelsch style beers. I would have to say though that this one was the best of them that I have had, and I have have had a good 10-12 different brews between German and American.

Yellowish golden colour, big creamyish foamy head. Malty and salty aroma with hoppy hints. Flavour is dominated by malts and hops. At first a bit salty, but it turns quite sweet and soft in finish.

I had this beer once when my friends from Germany brought it over for me. I enjoyed this beer a great deal. While there is nothing particularly special about it, the beer has a nice flavor about it and has that Old Europe feel to it. I would encourage people to give this brew a try.

light golden colour, little head and no lacing; slightly fruity (orange, lemony) nose, quite full-bodied but with lack of complexity and a short aftertaste

Clear golden yellow color with a pillowy white head. Very similar looking and smelling to a pilsner. The flavor was pretty sweet and malty (almost fruity) with a nice hoppy finish, somewhat dry. The mouthfeel, in addition to being dry, was rather carbonated. This beer capped my August '05 trip to Germany and Belgium, and it was all I wanted (a single beer) in Cologne that last night before an early wakeup call for the Frankfurt airport drive.

A warm, golden body that is capped with delicate lacing and contains tiny flecks suspended throughout. Aroma is malty with a slight hint of sandlewood and lemon. Mouthfeel is slightly tart and lightly carbonated. Taste hints of coriander and finishes clean and dry.
