This "beer" is essentially a novelty; you can't really drink this stuff with any regularity, unless you like muscat grapes in your beer. It's not terrible or anything, just not a typical beer...more of a marketing ploy, I think.

Pours apilsner-like golden beer. Head is thin but sticky to the glass. Lovely carbonation of tiny bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass like an upside down gentle Christmas snow! Aromas: grapes mush, malt and honey, almost like a pilsener (again) cranked with sugar. Nothing special there. Taste and mouth feel: no hops, just grapes and sugar. Dry finish. Big lack of complexity in this beer.

Pours a golden yellow with a lot of little bits floating around in there. No head on this one. Carbonation out the ass. Aroma is heavy on the barley and grapes. Taste is very malty and a tad dry with hints of grapes. Dry and chewy ending. Hides the booze very well. I had hoped for something with more kick to it and I just find it fairly bland. Good beer for a wine drinker though.

Pours a golden orange color and looks like ice tea. It has no head to speak of at al. The aroma is like grape juice. The mouthfeel is very thin with just a little fizz zing. The taste is not very full sort of like watered down Apple juice mixed with white grapes.

pours a clear, burnished gold tone while yielding a small foamy, off-white head with some retention and some lacing evident. The aroma offers grape, a good dose of honey, and some spice. The taste is honey apricot and pears. The mouthfeel leans toward the heavier side of medium-light with average carbonation.

Very shocked at how normal this beer tastes, don't know what I was expecting but nothing quite this tame I don't think. Smells grassy, spicey, and kinda like a macro pils. Pale yellow with some haze and fizz. Flavor is grainy, a touch of sour, and just beer flavored. It's a lighter type of flavor but really nothing that shocking.

Pours a clear golden amber with large white head which quickly disperses.Wasn't impressed with the aroma, taste or mouthfeel.I think its more suited to a wine drinker.

This beer has a golden/orange color with a small ring of head. There is a slight hung of honey in the smell but the grapes smell overpowers it. The mouth feel is light and it finishes quite dry. I did not really notice an overwhelming taste of saffron but you can tell that is there. Overall a good beer.

Umm. I dunno what to say. I've had this a few times and sadly am underwhelmed by it. Honey beer, wine, beer, whatever. It's supposed to be beer. And with that, the nose is nice but a bit sweet. Medium yellow color, low low white head ring. Mouth is OK but nothing to write home about. Flavor is "fine" but all in all I don't get it. DFH never disappoints, why start now?

I had been wanting to try this one for a few years, but had been put off by the price of a 4-pack. Midas pours a slightly hazy yellow body, the head was thin kinda soapy, and fizzy. The aroma was floral with the grape and honey scents being most predominate. Flavor of grass, honey, and fruit. Mouthfeel is light and sweet with a dry finish. Overall it was ok, different from most other things out there, but not really my speed.

Light orange/yellow pour with minimal white head. Aroma of grapes and honey. Flavor is sweet, almost like a homemade grape white wine with honey added. Very good and refreshing, possibly similar to a mead style? Taste close to a sweet white wine. Worth a shot!
