This wasn't anything special, but it wasn't bad either. Right down the line it was average. It poured a golden yellow....kind of on the dark side. The aroma wasn't all that invititing as it was a shade skunky. The taste was fair...a bit grassy and a little on the bitter side. Give it a try!

poured a pale yellow with white head. I was surprised how hoppy this was. Hops came through loud and clear in both the aroma and taste. I reminded me of a pale ale. I tried this with a bit of smoked swiss cheese. Pretty good combo.

Good solid malt character on the buds and in the nose. Crisp and refreshing, as a pilsner should be. My bottle had a nice white head to it with fragrant earthy scents. This one was smoother than most pilsners I have tasted, however I am not sure it lives up to anything from the Czech Republic. Not a bad interpretation of the style, though.

Beer pours straw yellow with smallish head and lacing. Aroma is of light pilsner-type malts. The flavor is kind of bland, no grassiness or hay-like flavors typically found in pilsner...just completely lacking anything of character. It's completely non-offensive, so that's good. Easy drinking.

refreshing, nothing spectacular. in fact pretty much ordinary. To my happiness, lacks that skunky characteristic of some pilseners. I can drink it and enjoy it, but everything about it is average.

This Bohemian Pilsner pours a yellow straw color from a 120z bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is grassy and grainy, slightly sweet. A medium bodied pilsner. Malts are grainy and grassy, and really sweet. Hops are slightly bitter and a little floral. After the first couple of sips the initial sweet fades a little, but it still is was too sweet and a touch thin. Drinkable, but it needs some more spiciness or some more bitterness to balance all that sweetness. The body is also somewhat thin and lacking. Other than that, it is a drinkable beer. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish si crisp and dry. Aftertaste is sweet.

Bottle. Poured a clear pale yellow color with no head whatsoever. Looked like apple juice. Aroma was a little hoppy with grassy tones. Average mouthfeel. Flavor is similar to other Czech pilseners, a little hoppy with a pine flavor to it. Not really very good at all.

04.04.04 Tap at Citizen's Bank Park, Philly, PA. Pours a darkish yellow, quite carbonated, little to no head (in a plastic cup) and slight lacing. Aromas are of saazy hops, lots of grain (too much?) and maltiness. Reminds me little of PU, but this really seems like what a Bohemian should be based on the style description. Quite bitter in a woodsy, piney way. Earthy front to back. Somewhat thin in body, but maybe it should be. A pleasant ballpark surprise and not served icey cold (likely because the park is not yet fully functional).
