A copper color with a white head. The aroma contains alcohol, oak, citrus, cherries, and vanilla. The flavor is well balanced but nothing off the chart good either. I taste some citrus, cherries, and caramel. The beer has some strange gritty mouthfeel to it. The aftertaste is slightly bitter. Overall this was ok enough.

good sweet caramel roastyness off the top. Medium/full bodied barleywine carries a fine carbonation. Amber color with small lace, the aroma smells of nuts and candy......a rich fruitiness with tastes of apricots and plum fruits. A rum like taste but i got no bite, it was very smooth. Balancing hops add some green to the finish. Its a sweet b/w, but mellow, not cloying...well worth the buck69

A pretty average barleywine for sure. Aroma was slightly sweet but it just didn't carry much of anything else but the sweetness, so to say it's one-dimensional in the nose would be accurate. Appearance was a dark amber color with a nice head. Flavor had some hop character in there, some raisins and really sweet, but it had an alcohol burn which wasn't pleasant in this case. Nothing really complex at all. It wasn't bad at all, just rather plain.

Bottled (thanks kenb!). Hazy dark amber colour with small off-white head. Aroma is malts, alcohol and American hops. Flavour is very wineous, but has a huge hayish hoppy dry finish.

Pours a cloudy brown with not much head, but some lacing. Scent is fruity, I'm thinking raisins. Taste is really young. Very fruity and sweetand lacks balance. Alcohol is present as well. Overall I think this needs some sleepy-time. I love this brewery, and I'm pretty sure this will get better.

This beer poured a deep amber color with a tanned pearlish head and a thin degree of lacing. This was weird given that the outside of the bottle depicts a yellowish color...so ooooohhhhhkay. The aroma is light with heavy wafts of alcohol, citrus, grapefruit, orange peel, and hop cones. Definitely some greenery in that nose. The flavor is alcoholic and burns toward the finish, especially as it warms. Syrupy sticky mouthfeel. Orangey citrus finish, malty with hints of pine cone and grass. Pretty apparent carbonation for a high alcohol content beer. This beer has lots of stuff going on, the problem is this is so evidently alcoholic that its nearly impossible to pick up the subtle hints. Perhaps some aging would work.. im confused.

This barley wine pours with a cloudy deep amber body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet and malty with a nice caramel note, some alcohol and a slight bitterness. The flavor is very sweet and malty with candy sugar notes and some alcohol. Medium to full bodied and smooth.
